I know what you’re thinking – these photos all look posed, and everyone looks perfect and everyone looks happy, well let me tell you that they are not!

I had lions roaring and chasing me as we walked through the forrest!!

There was sand in my shoes, which means if there was sand in my shoe there would have been sand in one of the mom’s shoes, it was hot and very humid, thanks to Durban’s tropical climate, so we all had beads of sweat dripping off of us, but thankfully I like to shoot with a shallow depth of field so no one can actually spot the drops of sweat:)

So really, just relax, breath, have fun, be real, laugh and love your family – I’ll look for the beautiful moments along the way and I’ll try not to get caught by the two lions with sticks, roaring back at me…
